so I am going to stay on my high horse when it comes to the subject of rape fantasy.
…less likely to get raped up here!
p.s. sorry if you missed those posts, had to delete. I shouldn’t have written - too recent and too disturbing and too personal.
This literally made my stomach hurt. I had to walk away from the computer, calm down, think about it, and walk back.
I’ve have never in my life been very good at female relationships. For the past 15 years, my closest friends have been men. But tumblr! Tumblr is different! I see all these women (like Brianna, and Caroline, and Anais, and Brooke) that I ADMIRE! They’re beautiful and amazing and totally inspirational to me! I tell my boyfriend about their opinions on things! And I totally admire this writer as well, but this hurts me!
I use too many exclamation marks.
Maybe I’m being a little sensitive, but this comment is directed towards someone I’ve known personally for a very long time and feel very protective towards. And I know that she and the author of this comment are both really angry about how much sexual harassment they suffer on a regular basis because of their gender and bodies. But saying that you are less likely to get raped means that someone else is more likely to get raped and that is more victim blaming and it is bullshit. Utter bullshit.
I usually don’t do things like this, but I really just had to say it.
