When I’m not writing things down on tumblr, I’m madly scribbling things down in one of these.  The reporter style is a little Harriet-the-Spy-esque.  It has a pocket in the back, which I reserve for notes from other people, like the ones written by old men in coffee shops recommending public radio programs.
